Apologies for the OT -- I'm looking for hosting for a new MySQL FarCry site where we've had to modify the core FarCry files, so was working on the assumption that we need a dedicated box somewhere (virtual server?). We also need to be able to set up and administer a couple of mailing lists for the .org.uk domain the site uses.
The prices we've been quoted so far are ridiculous and whilst I haven't done more than poke a stick at Red Hat, the thought struck me that there's probably nothing we need that can't be done on a Linux box. Does anyone here provide that kind of hosting or can they recommend someone?
