Don't upload files to the database. Upload them to a directory and then add the link to the database i.e. C:\Inetpub\wwwroot\MyWebsite\_files\MyNewFile.txt That's the usual way of doing things. If this isn't acceptable you will have start getting involved with BLOB's and that's a whole new ballgame Ellis C Wood BSc Ellwood Web Solutions T: 01623 459973 E: [EMAIL PROTECTED] W: http://www.ellwoodwebsolutions.co.uk -----Original Message----- From: Adams, Frank [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: 20 April 2004 19:44 To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: [ cf-dev ] uploading files to a database.... Hey all, I have come across a dilemma that I need to upload files into a database. SQL Server 2000 to be exact. We are using CFMX 6.1. I think we have to do it using java in some way but I do not know java. I may be wrong. Has anyone else ever had to do this before? Thanks in advance.
