we're running CF 5 on Windows 2003 without any problem. I think the
installation was also straightforward IIRC

Cheers JB

This first sentence of this doc
http://www.macromedia.com/devnet/mx/coldfusion/articles/windows_2003.html
says:

"With the release of ColdFusion MX 6.1, ColdFusion will now run on the
latest version of Microsoft Windows operating system." (2003)

This seems to imply (to me at least) that earlier versions of CF won't run
on Win2003. Would any one else interprate it that way?

I also had an email from a senior contact from Highlander - one of UKs main
MM suppliers/trainers - saying that CF5 won't run on Win2003.

But the document you found John seems to suggest otherwise!? (
http://www.macromedia.com/support/coldfusion/ts/documents/install_cf_win2003
.htm
)

It will run on Windows 2003 - it needs some tweaks though, there
should be a technote on this on the MM site.

Anybody know if CF5 on Win 2003 is compatible?

I have been told that the official MM line is that it is
               not?

But, I have also been informed that there are companies out
there offering CF5 hosting on Win2003?
