a) different files b) formatted completely differently c) related to different sites d) supposed to have the *similar* formatting for two different sites
Basically, I have 2 sites. 1 needs updating with a module from another site. I need to ensure that all the relevant CSS is copied across from one to the other.
So, using CVS diff, isn't very helpful is it, since the files are different to start with!
All I wanted to do was to find what CSS was in one file, but not in the other! THey are pretty large CSS files in actual fact, and trawling through them was not easy!

If the files are in CVS/VSS cant you just do a diff/history on them to see whats changed since the last check-in? That will give you content changes..

If you have VSS simply use WinDiff....
I'm not talking about a text diff tool, I'm talking about a content diff tool...
I use CVS and WinMerge etc and I understand how to do a diff. The point is, that I don't want a diff tool for text diffs, I want a diff tool for content changes. Either that or I have to completely reformat the two CSS files so that they are the same and THEN do a diff... pointless imho!
