We've had to vary this setting based on the hardware. On a dual Xeon
Processor box we found around the 40 mark (20 per processor) gave us the
best results.

In the Jrun.xml, in the jrun.servlet.jrpp.JRunProxyService section there
is a setting <attribute name="timeout">300</attribute>. We found
adjusting this during load testing would also determine how long JRun
would wait (when all simultaneous requests were being used) before
returning a ' Connection reset by peer' error in the logs and a
'Connection closed' error message to the webserver.
