Are you all too blinded by prejudice to listen to a reasoned argument.
Sure SQL Server knocks the pants of Access. There is no doubt in that
what so ever. And yes, when Access gets a load on it its is about as
stable as Ahmed's sanity on Big Brother. But what you are forgetting is
that A] not every web site owner stretch to a SQL Server environment and
B] Not everyone is running a site taking 3000 hits an hour.

As I said, horses for courses. If you are advising your clients to use
SQL server blindly without analysing there set up and studying their
anticipated growth along with appreciating their budget then you are lax
in your responsibility to them. You can recommend SQL server as the best
solutions because it is the best solution but I would love to have a
Ferrari on my driveway but I only have a Nissan.

Your having a laugh?
Access can only handle 1 simultaneous connection comfortably as it is a
single file desktop database, and if you put an access db under load on
a
website with too many connections, it will fall over, so will the ODBC
driver on CFMX, plus you are likely to get corruption. The bigger the
database gets the slower it gets and the more prone to corruption. It
was
never meant to be used in a web environment, people just use it because
they
can get away with it.
SQL Server/MySQL are database servers, capable or serving up thousands
of
simultaneous requests, and remain fast even on large databases.

Plus all the stuff Neil said.
