>From the plans I've seen from the Rich Palette guys (i.e. what they've told everyone they're going to do) He3 should end up a very powerful IDE. However, the beta release at the moment (IMO) hardly offers *me* anything that I can't get from just a standard install of Eclipse. Sure, it's got CF syntax highlighting, but CFEclipse's is better. Personally all I'm after is an IDE like Homesite but with added CVS integration, and CFEclipse does that just fine thank-you-very-much. I simply wouldn't use the features like the integrated Fusebox and MachII functionality of He3, and I don't do enough with regex/XPath to warrant using it on that count. And of course, as has already been mentioned, CFEclipse is free whereas the full version of He3, when released, you'll have to pay for (but basic version of that will be free too). Sean Corfield's offered up his opinion on the two here: http://www.corfield.org/blog/past/2004_07.html#000496 - his results are that he prefers He3, but of course everyone's allowed their own opinion ;) Tim. -- ------------------------------------------------------- Badpen Tech - CF and web-tech: http://tech.badpen.com/ ------------------------------------------------------- RAWNET LTD - Internet, New Media and ebusiness Gurus.
