I'm playing about with HTML Tidy and it's Java cousin jTidy to tidy up messy HTML created by the likes of soEditor.

The problem I'm having is Tidy always adds missing html, head, title, and body tags, even though I only want to tidy a chunk of html that is part of a document, not a complete document itself.

Apart from some post-tidy parsing to rip out the added tags, does anyone know if there is neat solution to this (maybe I'm missing an attribute or something simple like that)?

Thanks

Mark
