Incidentally: I'll never understand why systems have such a major problem with accects, celidas(sp?) and umlauts, since they're in the ascii set.
they aren't in the ascii character set, ascii only contains code positions 0-127. They are included in various extensions of the ascii set, including ISO-8859-1 (Latin1) and ISO-10646 (unicode).
