James Picking up on your point about "basic syntax and FAQs", I found the following extremely useful when starting out with CF:
1. Developing ColdFusion MX Applications - a chapter a day for a month(ish) works fine. 2. CFML Reference - tag by tag, function by function. Complete with thorough explanations and worked examples...some typos etc! The whole doc set (includes quick reference guides etc) is available in PDF/HTML at http://www.macromedia.com/support/documentation/en/coldfusion/ Also comes with CFMX if I remember correctly. Quite a bit of printing, but worth the effort. You won't remember everything first time through of course, but at least you'll know where to go to get a lot of the information you need. Also, have you checked out the example applications included with CFMX, default installation path C:\CFusionMX\wwwroot\cfdocs\exampleapps? Hope this helps. I've also got one CFML poster left which shows all the tags and functions at a glance - email me off list with your address and I'll post it down to you.
