Yannick,
We had a discussion about that on the dev meeting of last tuesday. Some
of the developers asked for a forum where development stuff can be
discussed or architectural changes can be announced to the rest of the
development team.
The current forum module on the website is not very user friendly and
the suggestion was made to use the redmine forum module (we where not
sure it even existed).
So, in the beginning we should only activate it in the 2.0 project and
see how it hows. Maybe with the entire rework of the chamilo.org website
we can switch to a better forum module for everybody.

Our current version of Redmine has forum. You just need to enable it.
From what you're writing I guess you're talking about adding a forum to
the Chamilo 2.0 project. Is that right? So you don't want to use the
forum on the website?

Laurent,
Thanks for the research ;- )
Is it possible to point out where we can find more information about
that last version? I will ask Yannick to update/upgrade our redmine
server.
If it is not possible to update the redmine platform in the near
future I will create a subforum on the chamilo.org
If other developers think we need other Redmine plugins please let us
know!

For info I double checked the latest redmine version and it supports
forums. Not so sure though about the current version.
As discussed during the meeting this would allow people to discuss dev
questions and keep an history for newbies.
I was wondering too if we should add a project in redmine for such
feature requests or if we could use the Community project for that?
