I've looked into CMIS in the past as a possible additional protocol for
external repository connections in C2. It's on the "to be implemented
one day" list. There's several PHP libraries out there that should
greatly facilitate integration, but even so I doubt it's a very easy
thing to do given C1's structure in terms of content. All depends on
what the customer is requesting though.

I have a customer request to implement this, and I was wondering if
anybody already worked on that and might (maybe) have a few lines of

It's not a definitive sales order yet, so this is just a general
interest question. The wikipedia pages got me interested in the topic.
