Summary: Placement of windows on multi-monitor setups with mouse
                    focus model
           Product: Compiz Fusion
           Version: git HEAD
          Platform: PC
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: P3
         Component: -Unknown
        AssignedTo: [email protected]
        ReportedBy: [EMAIL PROTECTED]

New windows open on the monitor where the user clicked on the desktop. So, if I
click on the desktop on the right monitor, new windows will open there, even if
the mouse pointer is on the left monitor.

But heck, I'm using focus follows mouse pointer model and I don't want to click
every time I want a window on the other monitor!
I want to move the mouse pointer to the other monitor, then hit a hotkey and
have the application appear there.
Even if I did not use the mouse focus model, I'd rather like to open the
windows on the monitor where the mouse pointer is at.

No offense meant, but this is pretty much standard behaviour in all other
window managers I've tried, so please, why isn't there such an option in
compiz? It's one of the reasons why I am still mainly using fluxbox etc.
instead of compiz.
