I will watch for memory leakage, although, I doubt there is any, as I recall only adding one calloc, and freed it when I was done. Let me know what your compiz setup is like exactly (AIGLX?, compiz version?, drivers?, etc.) and I will do what I can do to help, if its really a problem with the plugin. Animations, and animations plus share much of the same code base, and this diversity in memory usage doesnt make much sense to me. Also, as Danny said, I've never seen compiz munch even 100mb on my setups.
