A small workaround for this issue is:
Change the setting
ccsm->General Options->Focus & Raise Behavior->Focus Prevention Windows
to !(iclass=krunner) for KDE 4 or to !(iclass=kdesktop) for KDE 3. And make
sure that the regex plugin is enabled.
