So I was looking forward to starting my day on a positive note until I
scroll through the commit logs and see this:

http://git.compiz.org/compiz/plugins/ezoom/commit/?id=aec55753c2b99764dbad6cd77832f0725b62ddcd

Is this seriously how we can expect the project to function?

"Theatre Mode" was one of the planned features for 0.9.2 and was
implemented on-schedule by Scott. In fact, it was well-requested,
decided to make sense as a feature by both Scott AND myself and it was
advertised to be a feature on the upcoming release. Do NOT just remove
such code without any discussion whatsoever (raising any ideas for a
planned replacement).

Plugin authors cannot simply expect to take full ownership of their
work after being gone for so long and trample on what the community
has tried to make of it. I understand that there might have been bugs
within the particular implementation - that's fine - before nuking
code because "it's not your problem", how about being productive and
letting the original author know that there are bugs or even better
just fixing the damn bugs yourself!

Being possessive of your work like this is a surefire way to alienate
new contributors. I can't speak for Scott, but I can say that I have
been trying to be as helpful to Scott as possible and such an action
really pissed me off this morning.

Long story short: if you want new contributors, don't just expect to
waltz in and expect things to work "your way", and trample on the
community in the process.
