Hi,

I'll soon start my packaging work. Is there a release or only should I package git repo? What's the up-to-date and "stable" date? How can I fetch the archive which is newest but stable? I will likely give the date of the repo.

Same questions for wnckmm.

Thanks,

Regards,

Huge thanks for taking this task :-)

FYI, for my fork of emerald you'll also need to package wnckmm, which is
a C++ wrapper to libwnck:

https://github.com/p12tic/wnckmm

I'd be happy to co-maintain the packaging of these two packages, if
you're OK with that :-) I've published already working packaging that I
had here:

https://github.com/p12tic/wnckmm_debian
https://github.com/p12tic/emerald_debian

Cheers,
Povilas

Hi,

`hanks. I will try to package all this in Debian. It works so good
against MATE.

Please see https://github.com/p12tic/emerald. I intend to maintain it
for the foreseeable future. I'm using it currently on Compiz 0.9.11.

ok thanks. And what about Emerald? Is the git repo still usable with
Compiz 0.9.11 for Ubuntu?

Can you tell me where I can find a tarball of latest release of Compiz?
Or should I use the git repo source only?

Please see here https://launchpad.net/compiz. Compiz is currently
maintained by Canonical.

Cheers,
Povilas
