HI Moblin enthusisasts,
I successfully created a live-CD image of my molbin system whose specs are as
follows:
A. McCaslin-lpia-ubuntu-hardy platform
B. Functions sets:
1. core-gnome-mobile
2. Samsung-full-mobile-stack
3. Samsung-full-mobile-stack-with propriety
4. Samsung-q1-ultra-config
5. ubuntu-mobile
I created a new application for moblin which requires a web server installed on
it. I initially tried installing apache2. It did install successfully; however,
when I executed the midbrowser after configuring my site, I tried to browse
http://localhost but the browser displayed error. Is it possible to run a
webserver in the current configuration of my platform project. Everything is
working fine in the desktop environment but when I port my program in the
moblin environment, this problem of accessing the localhost site is stalling my
progress.
At first, I thought there might be conflicts in the http port :80 because we're
just emulating the moblin platform (sort of it is like a virtual machine within
my linux desktop) so I tried to create the live-cd image of my project and boot
from it to see if I can configure the webserver properly this time. But another
problem came up. This time, I cannot use the mouse and the keyboard once the
moblin display appeared. The system is not in a "hang" state because the
keyboard is reacting when I click on/off the numlock key. It's only the mouse
which is not responding even if the arrow pointer is appearing.
Has anyone been successful in creating a live-CD image and having their system
boot from it? Please share your experience on what I could have been missing in
my setup.
Thank you for the assistance
Kind regards,
Jason
