Well, I prefer the "system type" you says then the hardware platform,
because, in fact, there is already a "platform" where you choose the
processor and so on.
I said "distro" because they call distro not just the entire different
linux distribution, also a derivative distribution or a flavor one. At
least in Spain. As I was creating target for install different fsets
and trying different configurations it was what made more sense for
me.

I'm afraid is not any good translation for "system type" either, but
your point of view give me some light about the different meanings of
"target" in MIC context. Thanks :-)
