Could you capture this in a new bug on bugzilla.moblin.org?

The component names are in flux, so i'm not to worried about what
component you file this under (the 'Media component' or 'Other' works
fine). We can update the bug classification as the database is tweaked.

The data you have in this email is excellent , but I have one qualifying
request:

If you haven't already, could you verify that you still hear this sound
artifact with a long wav file? A good way to do this is running 'paplay
path/to/sample.wav'.

This will help rule out any media infrastructure / codec issues to
narrow down on the root cause.
