I meant to say that there should be no functionality issues if rps_cpus is not set.

We did not face any issue in basic functionally. This hasn’t been tried on virtualbox until now to my knowledge and I’m not sure if it would have a significant impact in this scenario. There should be functionality issues if rps_cpus is not set. The moment the script writes rps_cpu value , vhost0 loses connectivity. In a compute node running contrail vrouter , we see the node losing host connectivity after vrouter kernal module is inserted and the vhost0 is up. We use the script if-vhost0 , which calls vrouter-functions.sh to insert the vrouter kernal module and configure pkt1 and pkt2 interfaces. After debugging we found that the issue is caused when the vrouter-functions.sh changes the rps settings in pkt2 queues. We see this behaviour only in virtualbox. Is this a known issue , also what is the impact if we disable setting of rps in pkt2 Regards, Pramod.V Manager, Reliance Jio Infocomm Ltd -- Pramod.V Manager, Reliance Jio Infocomm Ltd -- Pramod.V Manager, Reliance Jio Infocomm Ltd -- Pramod.V Manager, Reliance Jio Infocomm Ltd
