Proposal to create adhoc marketing subcommittee.

Intent: add more community resources for Community Marketing/Evangelism.

We have a lot of events to organize and field. I do not want to overwhelm the 
governance WG members or the meeting agenda with them. So I propose that we 
create a subcommittee to track various events, organize community participation 
and help run these events.

Membership: membership to the subcommittee will consist of community volunteers 
who wish to participate in this activity. Number of members will not be limited.

Organization: once the subcommittee starts operating, first order of business 
is to elect subcommittee head. This person will have the responsibility of 
keeping meeting notes and reporting subcommittee activities to the governance 
WG on regular basis (schedule TBD)

subcommittee is expected to be self-organizing and will create its own rules 
for membership participation, voting procedures, etc. These will be presented 
to Governance WG for review and approval.

Budget: Governance WG will retain budget control, Marketing Subcommittee will 
generate event participation budget proposals to be decided on by the 
Governance WG.


Proposal Comment period through Jan 6th. We will hold a vote on this issue on 
Jan 6th GWG meeting.
