Since my point of view, it's a interesting project for our distro because there are just 568 packages to be synced from ArchHurd and there are lot of them that comes from GNU project; we should rebrand them and remove nonfree stuff from the non-gnu packages, however it should be discussed under consensus because we need a libretools for it (or anything else) first.
