just because someone forks a project, even the lead developer, that does not
itself suggest that distros should follow the fork

nothing in that email suggests that nginx is or will become non-free - it only
suggests that it may no longer be "maintained for the public good" - whatever
that means, is not obvious - i would wait to see what arch does - if arch
decides to follow the new fork, then you are doing work for nothing now - if
they dont, still it is not obvious why we would need to blacklist the arch
package and adopt a new one
