I've managed to test my issue a bit further, and it's not quite what I thought.
My first login is fine, but if I try to open a mail message it hangs. This appears to be in the IMAP server - but I can't confirm that yet. Until the IMAP server (or whatever) times this connection out, I can't use RoundCube for anything except for viewing the login screen and (sometimes) the inbox (cached in MySQL, I'm guessing).
