Changing the default font size

Hindi font glyphs are usually much smaller than the English ones, 
point-for-point. Therefore, I need to change the default font size. 
Where do I do this? In other news, have figured out how to get around 
the problem with the translation .inc files - got a workaround, it's 
laborious but working...
