No worries, I don't have commit access. :)
Even so I thought it still worked on read-only local working copies. Guess I
need to read the SVN book again.

That's one way to go, but doesn't seem like a very elegant solution. I'm
sure this "problem" will pop up on the list and in the forums from time to
time. It might warrant an FAQ entry once a good solution is worked out. I'll
try to tinker with this at work and see what I can come up with.

Worst case, I just need to remember to (a) rm -rf the installer directory,
and (b) test the install after an update. If I at least did (b), I hope I
would notice the big giant red warning!
