Hi Till, 

I find it distracting. When dealing with email, or doing something else,
with my browser in the background, seeing the loading message flash up
draws my attention away from what I'm working on, when RoundCube doesn't
really need my attention.

Do other email clients so prominently indicate that they're (automatically)
checking for mail? I like the idea of doing something more subtle, but I
think I still want to be able to turn it off completely.
