agreed - this is a good reason for having server-side filters. In my first post 
I was 
allready wondering how a client-side filter will decrease performance.

Totally agreed - but I see a auto reply functionality as an extra plugin - 
which would be 
really cool to have for sure ;-) (maybe this sohould be a next one). Actually 
we don't 
offer that (because only one person asked for ;-) ) although Suirell Mail has 
such a 
plugin I think.

Just an idea concerning auto reply - would it be possible to have a "cronjob" 
running 
checking if there is set up an auto reply and then send the auto reply message? 
Maybe this 
could be a perl, ruby python script .... sure I don't wanna destroy the 
principle 
architecture ;-)

This is indeed a problem for single user - but on the other hand software like 
roundcube 
will help them out ;-)
