The question is, how much information does the user really need? Early
versions of Roundcube hardly showed any confirmation messages, the user had
to assume that the operation (e.g. moving, deleting) was successful unless
an error message was displayed.

I personally prefer this silent-and-just-working solution but people
obviously discovered that internet and web apps are not always reliable and
thus want to be informed about what's going on.

BTW: you can hide the messages by clicking on them (except the loading
notice) in case they cover some other UI elements.

We're currently working on a redesign of the UI and the message display is
one of the things to be improved. Hopefully our screen designer will come
up with a snappy solution for this.
