I was fixing some related issues, but it looks you're right about this.

As I see Roundcube exports all contacts from selected address book and
group.

In new folder manager (0.5) you can move folder to root (not by
drag&drop, but by setting parent folder to None).

Yes, probably. I see, we're not using unfocused class on folders list in
default skin.
