You didn't comment that. What I was referring to is the announcement of Release 0.8: ------------------------------------------------------------ > The old skin still remains part of the package and will be > maintained for at least one more major release. ------------------------------------------------------------ The keyword here is "maintained". That does mean more to me than "we just let it live, but we don't care about it that much anymore". >> So which skin would YOU choose...? ;-) > > I choose Larry :-) Ok. But may we for instance hope that at least our custom logo won't be truncated anymore (that was one of the minor issues I didn't mention in my previous post, see screenshot)? > The amount of information which is displayed on the screen isn't the only > measure for good UI design. Right. And there is really no chance to find a better/alternative combination between "decent spacing" and say "less space-wasting spacing"? It appears that Classic will die some day, and from that point on users will miss a lot of information on their screen. >> Ok, I'll stop here. > > Good. Serious question: Did anybody ever complain about the Classic skin saying "I'm seeing way too many mails on my screen. Can you please reduce the number by increasing the vertical space?"? > But here's the good news to all of you who don't like the new skin (or > anything else about Roundcube): it's free software. I won't, as I don't have one (see above). ;) >> No offense, though. > > I'm sure some people clearly took this as an offense... Then I apologize (although it does surprise me how my comments can be taken as an offense). Who exactly are these "some people"? At least I haven't seen/read them here. So to all of you who may have felt offended: That wasn't my intention. I just expressed my personal opinion and point of view, and I did it in an appropriate way - IMHO.
