You didn't comment that. What I was referring to is the announcement of
Release 0.8:

The keyword here is "maintained". That does mean more to me than "we just
let it live, but we don't care about it that much anymore".

Ok. But may we for instance hope that at least our custom logo won't be
truncated anymore (that was one of the minor issues I didn't mention in my
previous post, see screenshot)?

Right. Not the only one, but also not the least one.

And there is really no chance to find a better/alternative combination
between "decent spacing" and say "less space-wasting spacing"? It appears
that Classic will die some day, and from that point on users will miss a lot
of information on their screen.

If I only would have heard one good argument why wasting space should be a
good idea...

Serious question: Did anybody ever complain about the Classic skin saying
"I'm seeing way too many mails on my screen. Can you please reduce the
number by increasing the vertical space?"?

For a developer, right. But my personal PHP/js/HTML/CSS skills are
definitely not sufficient.

I won't, as I don't have one (see above). ;)

Then I apologize (although it does surprise me how my comments can be taken
as an offense).

Who exactly are these "some people"? At least I haven't seen/read them
here.

So to all of you who may have felt offended: That wasn't my intention. I
just expressed my personal opinion and point of view, and I did it in an
appropriate way - IMHO.
