This are following suggestions / requests for the installation of Scilab for windows after version 2023.0.0. They may also apply to the MacOS and Linux versions
* Create a torrent for the installer file. * Make Scilab available in the Microsoft Store (and in the Apple Store) * Eliminate the Java requirement. It is absurd to install a Java machine just for Scilab to run. In the versions previous to 5.0 Java was not present, the installer was only about 30MB, and Scilab ran smoothly. * Eliminate the Intel math kernel option. It is unnecessary and complicates the installation process with an additional download. * Make Scilab english-only (no more translation options). We appreciate the effort, but the help comes in English. In other words, an English-only Scilab is preferable to a half-translated Scilab. * Eliminate the "console" and "advanced console" icons (launchers) in the windows menu. These options confuse the user and should be available only by invoking the specific command in the terminal. * Eliminate the "uninstall Scilab" icon in the windows menu. It makes easy an accidental uninstall, and it is redundant, as the uninstall option is in the respective control panel section.
