Allow me to make a somewhat neutral point. At present, the incidental complexity created by the choice of framework is dwarfed by the complexity of Snowdrift-specific logic. And now, not-so-neutral. Yesod has more complexity up front because it is solving a bigger problem. It has more packages and dependencies than pretty much any other library on Hackage because it is the closest to being a real-world library that had to sacrifice simplicity for completeness. This definitely makes it uglier. I also find Snap aesthetically pleasing, and I particularly like Lucid. If I started a brand new project, I would definitely experiment with the other frameworks for my own edification. The neutral point I started out with, however, will always be true after a short while.
