Hi all, While people are working on better project organization, there's still plenty of things for me to work on. Like the mechanism, of course.
The actual functionality for the mechanism is pretty straightforward, but there's a bunch of architecture questions I wanted to work through. That's what I've been busy with the last few days. How do we make an independent Persistent-based component? How will it be integrated into the running site? What will tests look like? How will errors propagate? In order to have an isolated sandbox, I have a standalone project at https://git.gnu.io/chreekat/sd-mechanism . It's just a scratchbox; the real project will end up being part of the regular repo once some basic stuff has settled down. I'm not ready to ask questions or get any feedback yet, but hopefully in about a week that time will come. I just wanted to give everyone a heads up. Woot, -Bryan
