Note to all: Peter is the reckless sort of person who keeps his system running the latest git version of Stack. The actual latest *release* is still 1.0.4 not the pre-release 1.0.5 that Peter is running. So this is probably a non-issue for everyone and our instructions do not tell people to run pre-release versions. Of course, Peter running pre-release helps catch bugs before releases, but, to Peter: keep in mind that most people are not doing that and we will continue to recommend that people stick to the official stable release.
