Hi Andreas, I am doing some research on the IKEv1 failure cases and how it can be addressed by software itself. (Assumption: very minmal vpn configuration to establish the IPSEC)
For that, I am using the strongswan pluto, and currently testing the IKEv1 failure cases in strongswan. For Eg: Initiator is IKEv1(default) and responder is IKEv2(strictly confugured) version. This configuration, reponder doenst respond , initiator retransmits and finally stops. For this, try send IKEv2 packet and try.. Do we have some documentation for pluto? thansk suresh On Thu, Apr 22, 2010 at 3:12 PM, Andreas Steffen < [email protected]> wrote: > Hi Suresh, > > of course we do bug fixes for pluto and even do some > further development on the IKEv1 daemon, but mostly by > back-porting features from the IKEv2 charon daemon > or replacing ancient pluto code with modern charon code > thus reducing code redundancy. > > E.g. pluto in the forthcoming strongSwan 4.4 release is > going to have charon's RAM-based virtual IP pools > defined by rightsourceip=192.168.1.0/24. > > Best regards > > Andreas > > On 22.04.2010 11:27, Suresh Kumar wrote: > > HI aurelien, > > I have gone through that.. > > one general question is, > > does strongswan supports pluto?
