Well, there is chroot and containers/namespaces.
In the server world this is fixed using model such as SE Linux or AppArmor which requires either a prepackage of the default security rule at package install (not compatible with a multi device distro such as Tizen), either a user learning phase followed by manual installation of new rules (not any better).
AppArmor is most popular among desktop Linux distributions, and used in such as SuSE and Ubuntu. I think it is quite feasible.
