At this stage, I'd try with a different HDMI cable (and/or double-check it 
works in another set-up). I've been bitten by this in the past, just couldn't 
figure out why a display wouldn't come to life until I used a different HDMI 
cable.

Just received the Active Adapter from StartTech.  Still unable to get the VTC 
1010 to display anything on the screen.  I have disable the VGA with the kernel 
option.  I've added the rule to direct the touch events.  I've corrected the 
westion ini file mode for DP1.  This could be a lower level problem because I 
am not able to see the boot process.
