How does it compare to systemd-logind? In short.
Completely unrelated... It is more like xdm, lightdm, gdm or kdm.
Difference is that it comes without built-in GUI (can be external),
specifically designed to deal with multi-seat with multiple simultaneous
users. As it is not related to X in any way, it works fine with
Wayland/Weston. And it supports alternative login methods, like NFC tags
(with proof-of-concept implementation).
By default TLM uses pam_systemd and logind's dbus APIs, but can also
work without systemd/logind. (for something like devuan.org /
without-systemd.org)
When we have time, there will be some more information at
https://01.org/tlm but we haven't got time to do it yet.
