Those instructions point to the Yocto Project instructions, and the Yocto Project instructions use at least one command (grub2) that does not appear to be available on Ubuntu 14.04. (It's not in the grub2 package. I looked) I was sort of hoping someone had a script that does what the Yocto instructions say, but with programs that exist.
