OK. The Logcat appender does essentially what log4j-api-android does. But
log4j-api-android doesn't have support for the rolling file appender, although
it should be possible to include it or something like it. We have made a lot of
changes to log4j-core since 2.3 and I have no idea if it can still be made to
work in Android.
