Why is it a minor release?
More generally: why are all repos set up to minor release bumps?
Traditionally we increased on the patch version number and bumped the
minor version number only after merging a commit that requires a minor
release.

I would prefer to also bump BND from 6.x to 7.x. The new version
requires JDK 17 for the build, that is why it was held back.
