Sonatype, the commercial entity that advises/consults on Maven published an interesting blog article [2] brought up by Jukka Zitting on the Tika mailing lists regarding the Maven Central and the push towards having canonical jars uploaded there as a best practice in Maven and those that use it (even if your project doesn't per se). There is further information and a good article here [3] that explains the end-to-end process for uploading your jars to Maven central, regardless of whether or not you use Maven. > > 2) We dont plan (yet anyway) to switch to using maven to build > netcdf-java. Check out [1] and [3] and ask any questions that you have from us and we'd be happy to help out! :) Thanks for your help, guys!
