I'd be extremely surprised if you were the very first one to notice this, but all things are possible. It's more likely that there's something else going on besides 1.4 just throwing away your data.
Let's see your DIH config, and any commands you used "after a while", I suspect you're done something like having DIH "clean" parameter set to true (I don't know if the defaults changed). How did you revert to 1.4? It would be helpful if you outlined what steps you took.
