Here's my proposed patch for this issue.
In truth I don't think this functionality makes much sense as a filter, but I
think
we should simply solve it in this way.
If the end result is to collapse duplicates in search results, we should
seriously
consider pointing people at field collapsing or maybe doing this in a collector.
