Uwe Schindler commented on SOLR-5848:
-------------------------------------
[~steve_rowe]: I cleaned up the ASF Jenkins workspaces, too. The outdated
workspaces were deleted (Jenkins does not delete the workspace when the job is
deleted, so the 4.3 and 4.4 ones were just relicts).
But in general: There is no need to clean up JAR files in workspaces after such
events, because Jenkins is configured to start with an cleaned up workspace
(means Jenkins deletes all non-svn files, which is like an svn revert, but a
bit more). When a job starts the workspace is as clean as a new checkout.
The only thing you have to do: nuke ivy cache.
I did this for the Policeman servers: Windows Policeman and MacOSX Policeman
were restored to latest VirtualBox snapshot with empty homedir, Linux Policeman
got {{rm -rf ~jenkins/.ivy}} (I dont care about downloading the internet).

> Has this been deleted from Cloudera's repositories or something? This would
> be pretty bad -- maven repos should be immutable...
