I have exactly the same problem on 4.6.1
I create a new core from my service, which includes a schema.xml the same as
Vince's. Everything carries on fine until jetty gets restarted. Then the same
thing. Core admin/selector not accessible, and my app just hangs trying to
connect to that specific core. Other cores without this setting appear to be
unaffected. Changing maxCollationTries to 0 fixes the problem.
Nothing in logs that appears helpful though :(
