Hoss Man commented on SOLR-6378:
--------------------------------
Sorry for the issue churn .. this looked like a dup, but then i realized it's
actaully just a report of something that showed up in the comments *after* and
older issue was resolved.
the distrinct problem here is that the tika example does not work if you
downloda a binary release, because the file in question isn't in the binary
release -- and nothing about hte README or any other docs susggests that it
will _only_ work in a source release.
> Tika DIH example configuration points to a file that no longer exists

> Project: Solr
> Issue Type: Bug
> Components: contrib - Solr Cell (Tika extraction)
> Affects Versions: 4.9
> Reporter: daniel shchyokin
> Priority: Minor
>
> When running the DIH example, select core "tika", and click data import.
> Click the button "Exectute" and you will see an error:
> Indexing failed. Rolled back all changes.
> Requests: 0, Fetched: 0, Skipped: 0, Processed: 0
> Started: less than a minute ago, Rolledback: less than a minute ago
> This is because the file the import handler is configured to import
> url="../contrib/extraction/src/test-files/extraction/solr-word.pdf"
> no longer exists
