A thread on infra says that people are seeing commits time out and toss an error, but that they ARE being successfully committed. It was talking about the EU mirror, and that status message is about the US master, so I don't know if it's the same thing. That thread on infra also mentions a separate problem with the mail server being way behind on things like the commit updates.
